If you’ve found out you’re pregnant and don’t want to go through an abortion again, then exploring your other options, parenting and adoption, is the next step.
Unexpected pregnancies can understandably bring a lot of emotions up to the surface, especially if you are still processing emotions from your previous abortion; therefore, seeking support may be beneficial.
Pregnancy Help Center offers confidential and free options counseling so you can ask any questions and receive factual information about the considerations and risks of each choice. If you’re still struggling emotionally from your previous abortion, we also provide post abortion support.
You don’t have to handle this alone. We are here to help.

Parenting May Be More Possible Than You Think
Many women worry that they might not be ready for parenting; this could be due to age, finances, housing, or relationship issues. We want you to know that you’re not alone in this, and support is available if you wish to choose parenting.
Practical support and community resources can make parenting feel more manageable, and financial circumstances can often change over time.
Our center provides free, confidential prenatal and parenting education through BrightCourse classes, which can help you feel more confident about any parenting challenges.
We also offer material support through our “Earn While You Learn” program. You’ll earn points in exchange for diapers, wipes, and maternity and infant clothing, and we can provide you with community referrals if you need additional resources or help with rent, food, and medical care.
There is no shame in asking for help if you do not have adequate support; that’s what we are here for.
Learning About Adoption
Adoption is another option if you do not feel ready to be a parent but also do not want an abortion. Adoption has historically carried a negative stereotype, but it can be a very rewarding journey where you can maintain a relationship with the child and their adoptive parents if you wish, this is also known as an open adoption.
The other two types of adoption are a semi-open adoption, where communication is via a third party, or a closed adoption, where you remain anonymous and do not have contact.
It’s also important to know that you will never pay for adoptive services. Adoption can be challenging, but it can help birth mothers find peace of mind knowing that their child is taken care of.
Confirm Your Pregnancy First
Before you decide on your option, confirming your pregnancy first will give you the accurate medical information you need to make an informed decision.
A pregnancy test can be taken at our center, as well as an ultrasound, which will show whether the pregnancy is viable (progressing normally and has a heartbeat), the location, and how far along you are.
